Do over!
So, I’m starting a new blog today. I’ve operated a blog on this same domain for a few years, but it only saw a half dozen or so entries. Probably because I had to login to the server to write entries, due to the software I was using (Bloxsom). This year, I wrote no entries because I’ve been so busy with my new software company, Virtualmin, Inc.
But, that same new company, which is the second I’ve founded, has made me aware that I’m relearning a lot of the same things I learned during my first company spin up several years ago, though the lessons sometimes look a little different due to it being a different kind of company. Anyway, this time around, I’m going to write them down, so maybe I’ll be able to talk myself out of starting yet another company five years from now (or at least I’ll have to spend less time re-learning stuff, since I’ll have these crib notes).
And, of course, in this modern age, everybody keeps their journals on the web, so I’ll do the same. Maybe someone can learn something from my thoughts on my first barely successful company and my new and very promising company. I’ll also talk a lot about software development, since that’s a core part of my new business, though I’m not much of a developer myself.
